1. What is the particle clearance for a WARTHOG basket?
The basket openings are sized to match the particle clearance of the dredge pump. Standard
openings are 1/2 of the dredge pump discharge size, but we can easily design and build non-standard openings as required
by the particular project. All WARTHOG baskets have the T-Bar design so that the smallest part of the opening is on
the periphery of the basket.
2. I have a non-standard shaft taper, will the basket fit?
Yes. We can design and build to fit any type of shaft taper.
3. I have a non-standard setup height, will the basket fit?
Yes. We can design and build to fit any setup height.

4. Do you have a basket in stock?
Maybe. We may have a basket to fit our cutter drives, but most baskets are custom designed and are
built to order.
5. How long does it take to design and build a basket?
Our standard lead time is 2 weeks.
6. I would like a quote, what information do you need?
We need to know the dimensions that are shown on the Basket Dimension Form.

7. Do you need to know the direction of rotation?
Yes and no. The WADCUTTER slicing basket is uni-directional, the WARTHOG screening basket is
bi-directional. Contact our sales staff to determine what basket style is correct for your dredge.
8. Can I get larger teeth for my basket?
Yes. We have our standard tooth and also an XD, or extreme duty tooth. The XD tooth has increased
width and thickness, but not length. Longer teeth reduce the digging force and are not recommended.
9. What is the wear life of a basket?
The wear life varies with the type of material and the speed of the basket. The frame of the basket
is fully hardsurfaced to resist wear. Promptly replacing worn teeth extends the life of the basket.

10. What tools are required to change the teeth?
The teeth can be changed with a hammer and and a pin punch. We also have a combination installation
and removal tool. Contact our sales department for more information.
Always wear eye protection when installing and removing the teeth.
